Sidcot Flying Suits
BSA, LLC is proud to produce new Sidcot suits like the originals worn by thousands of pilots in the 1920’s- 40’s. Our suits are sewn in the US and patterned using original, pre WW II British suits. They are made of 10 oz., 100% cotton twill with commercial grade, nickel zippers and authentic military buttons. They have the stylish map pocket located on the left side of the chest and two hand warming pockets on the thighs, found on the originals. The waist has two side zippered openings for access to your pants pockets. The fly area has the authentic buttoned opening. We have even recreated the original brass belt buckles. Both the wrists and ankles have locking zippers for easy entry and exist with your boots and gloves on. The suit comes in a light cream color and the 100% natural lambs wool collar is optional.

Over the past 2 years, we have received some comments and questions about the choice of color we use on our Sidcot suit. A number of reenactors are more familiar with the WW II issued Sidcot suits that are a gray/green color and have shorter sleeves and leg length. This was to accommodate the electrically heated gloves and boots that were worn during the War.
From the picture at the left, I think you can see there was a wide variety of colored cloth used to make these suits as well as a variety of different cuts and details used over the years. We have done our very best to make our suits as accurate as possible within the means currently available.
If you or your group have a requirement that is different from our suits, we will be glad to try and work with you on your flying suit, just contact us.
