
We are proud to offer a two day, hands on learning experience in Historical Aircraft Wood Working at our workshop, here in Keswick, Virginia. The program includes instructions hand and power tool usage, in wood selection, grading and cutting to size from rough planks, designing, building and using wood working jigs. The proper procedures for steaming and bending wood. The selection of adhesives and other wood fasteners. Splicing of spars and other wood structures correctly.
The classes are open to anyone who is interested in building aircraft and is limited to 6 people at a time. If interested please contact us or call us at (434) 295-7177. Cost for the 2 day class is $350 per person with a $120 nonrefundable registration fee. The next class is scheduled for September 11-12 of 2010.
BSA’s workshop is located 2 hours south of Washington, DC (IAD) and 1 hour west of Richmond, VA (RIC). There are numerous accommodations available close by and other family members are invited to visit the beautiful central Virginia area while you attend the class.
